So here is my proposal to force a Meta shift...

All r10+ players... STOP running balanced and START running the meta and stomp the shit out of lower ranked teams with it over and over and over.

This will do 1 of 2 things... lower ranked players will have to learn to adapt and cause a metashift, or Pen Island will see a comeback along with IWAY.

This happened w/ the old heroway, high ranked players started playing axe rao's and eventually the meta shifted to this retardedly defensive build. so do it again...

Get with the times. r12++ people are running smitegay. What do you think is in halls 24/7? There is not a single match that doesn't have ATLEAST 1 team being smitegay. It is the nature of the build that makes it able to beat high ranked players. Maybe the r3's Norgu has completed more of nightfall, and therefore is a better interupter. That CAN make the r3 win.

ok, so you obviously have no idea what your talking about, so Ill say this in words you can understand... its like taing the stick away from the small child and then beating the small child with his own stick.

that is to say, if the playing field is leveled with heroes, then the only difference comes down to the real players, and high ranked players make fewer mistakes.

as far as r12+ teams runnign smitegay... yeah, GANK, and their a bunch of tards whom no one cares about anymore because they play like garbage since their core team stopped playing together. for the rest of the high ranked world, we still run balanced believe it or not. I know its hard to grasp, but just let it soak in and eventually you will get it

1) GANK still holds halls more consistantly than any other HA guild. And the only hero ever brought is olias. Because Olias calls Profane better than Aramail does.

2) My fault, I didn't realize that FINE was calling 6 eles with SF balanced. Or 6 Paras. You know, the one with the P/N Orders caller?

So when was the last time GANK won? o yeah... 3 weeks ago... BEFORE chamalee went on vacation... he caries GANK and you know it, the rest are garbage... SEDUCING IS IN GANK... END OF STORY. 2) Seducing doesn't play, he just sucked up to oh my.
3)If they went to heroes, its a good thing I left already.
4) If you're running that build, I really hope it doesn't become meta. It's just as defensive.
A Daze/Interupt Ranger.
A Euro snare with blind/blurred spam.
More defense with Cry and Drain enchant for attunes.
The derv, does have faithful intervention, noob proofs them so they dont have to even think about a shield.
A Monks personal Linebacker.
A Defensive rit WITH MORE snares and no offense what-so-ever.
Not to mention a 2 monk backline. And people are complaining NOW about long boring matches?????????

I like how you guys claim to be good at the game (HA in particular) yet you don't even understand how the parts actually function together. There are so many poor observations and arguments made in these threads that I die a little inside when I read through the thread.

my suggestion for a meta shift is:
all the good players should go play different games (i'm currently playing spore, galaxy mode is very fun and when i find earth i will use the planet buster on it to get an achievement/for the lulz)
now here's where the plan gets good: since bad players like to mimic good players they will all go play different games (they'll probably play spore but since they're bad they won't be able to beat it and get to space mode so they will think "this game is lame it is set on a relatively small scale and i want to explore the galaxy and more the universe all of it, but it is too hard so i am dissapoint") then, when nobody is playing guild wars anymore it will be perfectly balanced and we will all be happy playing spore.

Now don't get me wrong. I am not opposed in any way shape or form to beating small children with sticks, but you're comparing beating red-headed children with sticks to beating fair-haired children with sticks - it just doesn't add up.

BTW: for non GW fun, I'd still recomend Tiger Woods 08. 09 isn't available for PC, but 08 still has great playablity.

Balance with good players stomps and will always stomp any heroway/meta bs build. Key words there are good players though, which are extremely hard to come by nowadays.

Also, GANK is garbage now, first they have no leader atm and second they lost all their good members which will never go back.

Rank means nothing, and everyone thinks everyone is awful at the game. Let the scrubs farm each other, it's free fame for people who aren't terrible. Anyone who isn't completely terrible usually can stomp the lower ranks anyway regardless of what they run. ;\

If, supposedly "good players" ran the same build as "bad players" what advantage would they have? Just because someone has a r10 versus a r3 doesn't guarantee success.
